Farlim Night Market - Penang

February 13, 2017  •  1 Comment

I took with me 2 rolls of Cinestill T800 film for night market shoot for my Penang trip last year while attending a family gathering. What I had in mind was Batu Ferringi night market but the tour guide took us to Farlim Pasar Malam. Farlim Pasar Malam (Farlim Night Market) in Penang happens every Wednesday night. I was told it is the biggest night market in Penang and most of the patrons are locals. This is an opportunity to taste the local food once again. I was hoping for the light used at the stores would tungsten as I recalled my childhood experience growing up in Malaysia in which the lights were gas powered. The scans came back after processing were less than satisfactory, mostly very very grainy.  Lesson learnt, should have overexposed some shots as it was dark.  Anyway, here are some of the shots I took in Farlim Night Market.  Looking at these photos certainly brings back a lot of good memories that I had with family where I shared the food and mostly spent quality time together. Love to hear from you about the photos. Feel free to leave your comments below.
