The Melbourne PhotoMarathon poster outside of Magnet Galleries caught my attention one day on my way to work. After some research, I signed up. PhotoMarathon has been running around different parts of the world for a long time, it is the first time in Melbourne. The rules are to produce 9 pictures of 9 topics in 9 hours. No post production is allowed. 3 topics were released to the participants every 3 hours at the HQ, Magnet Galleries in Melbourne city. Here are the 9 topics:
I walked 14.7km today around the city looking to interpret the topics into photographs. It was challenging and stretched me in many ways. The battery that I charged the night before failed on me when I was looking to short topic 6. Surprisingly, I was not in panic mode. I went to a camera shop to buy one and the sales person was kind enough to charge the new battery for me. Very grateful indeed.
Big thank you to the team who organised the event. I look forward to seeing how every participant interprets the topics at the exhibition in 2 weeks time.
